On March 23, 2023, the "2023 China Industrial Water Conference" was successfully held in Xiamen. This conference was hosted by the Industrial Water Treatment Professional Committee of the China Chemical Society, the China Industrial Water Treatment Industry Alliance, and the National Industrial Water Treatment Information Center, and co-organized by CNOOC Tianjin Petrochemical Research and Design Institute Co., Ltd. and other units.
The theme of this conference was "Synergistic Governance of Water Conservation, Pollution Reduction, and Carbon Reduction to Promote Green Development." The conference invited experts and scholars from various fields in the water treatment industry to focus on industry hotspots, analyze policy dynamics, share cutting-edge technologies, discuss development trends, and exchange practical experiences, empowering the transformation and upgrading of the industrial sector and contributing to the achievement of dual carbon goals.
Hezhongsi (Beijing) Environmental Engineering Co., Ltd. was invited to attend the conference, and because of Hezhongsi's "Desulfurization Wastewater Resource Utilization and Reuse Evaporation Crystallization Technology" innovative nature, it was awarded the 2022 China Industrial Water Treatment "Water Treatment Technology Innovation Award" by the Industrial Water Treatment Professional Committee of the China Chemical Society. This technology was developed for key technological applications in the treatment and resource utilization of typical industrial high-salt wastewater. It solves the difficult problems of resource utilization of industrial high-salt wastewater, alleviating the adverse effects of high water consumption and high emissions on the ecological environment, and providing important technical support for ecological environment improvement and high-quality development of the industrial sector.
Zero discharge and resource recycling of desulfurization wastewater helps promote ecological environmental protection and high-quality development of the industrial sector. This technology optimizes the high-TDS wastewater treatment process from the perspective of recycling, achieving the production of high-quality and high-value-added water/salt. It not only optimizes energy saving and consumption reduction, but also establishes a water/salt circular economy model from the perspective of the entire process and industry, achieving cost optimization.
This technology can be customized according to different water quality characteristics and is suitable for the treatment of industrial wastewater with large wastewater discharge, complex water quality, and high salt content. The treated water can meet the reuse standards of reclaimed/recycled water and be reused in the production system. The crystallized salt produced as a byproduct is of high quality, reaching industrial product quality, achieving a circular economy, and truly realizing zero wastewater discharge.
