Reasons for the collapse of the security filter element
Security filters, also known as precision filters, are widely used in the water treatment industry. Because the medium in a security filter has a certain pressure, it belongs to a pressure vessel. According to the different media, it is divided into stainless steel filters, carbon steel lined (plastic lined) filters, fiberglass filters, etc. There are many types of filter elements used in the equipment, such as pleated filter elements, wound filter elements, and high-flow filter elements. These filter elements are mostly tubular, making them easier to replace. During use, the type of filter element to be installed will be selected according to the quality of the raw water to be filtered and the process flow, so that the effluent meets the requirements. When used before reverse osmosis equipment, it also plays a role in reverse osmosis membranes. Now, fiberglass security filters are used in many fields such as medicine, chemical industry, food and beverage, brewing, and dyeing. Reasons for the collapse of the security filter element
Fiberglass security filters are usually installed before pressure vessels to remove particles with a turbidity of more than 1 degree, ensuring that the influent meets the requirements of the downstream equipment. However, after a certain period of use, the filter element may collapse. The main reasons for this are:
1. The filter element has been in use for a long time and has not been replaced in time.
2. Insufficient support of the filter element skeleton.
3. The filter element is not properly selected, and the required filtration accuracy is inappropriate.
4. The influent pressure is not suitable.
These reasons will cause the filter element to collapse, seriously affecting the water purification effect. The working capacity of the filter element continuously decreases during the continuous water purification process, and it needs to be replaced in time, otherwise it will affect the effluent water quality.
Protection of security filter elements
1. The water source is generally a fixed water source and cannot be easily changed.
2. Improve the pretreatment operation effect, optimize the dosage of flocculant and coagulant aids, select scale inhibitors suitable for the water source, adjust the operation status of various pretreatment equipment, strictly follow the operating procedures, and ensure that the quality of the pretreated effluent is qualified.
3. Select filter elements with guaranteed quality, which can extend the service life of the filter elements and ensure the effluent water quality of the security filter.
